Society is similar to a real
bank
account in so far as you can set
up standing orders and
direct
debits and have
your wages or salary paid in.
It
comes
with the choice of either a LINK
ATM cash card or passbook and requires
£100 as
an initial opening deposit. The balance
can be reduced (to zero) at a later
date.
As
well as operating your account at a
branch or agency, you
can also access and
manage
it online. Online, you are able to carry
out one time bank transfers and
deposit
funds using your debit card as well
as set up your regular direct debits
and
standing orders.
You
can withdraw up to £1000 in cash per
day from any branch and up to £500 in
cash
per day from an agency of the building
society. Maximum cash withdrawals per
week
also apply (£5000 from a branch and
£1000 from an agency).
You
can also withdraw funds by cheque (£150K
per day from a branch and up to
£50K
per day from an agency).
If
you choose to use your ATM card then
you can take out up to £250 per day.
