Smile

No-Notice Savings

This is a no-notice (easy access) savings account from Smile (the internet bank)

that requires a minimum opening and operating balance of £1.

You don't need to be a current account holder with the bank but if you already are

you will get a slightly better rate of interest. However, in both instances the current

rates are very low. You must also be aged at least 16.

The account is managed online, by phone or through a Co-operative Bank branch

and you can operate it in joint names.

You can deposit funds using either electronic transfers, standing order, cash or

cheque. Cheques can be paid in through the post, at a Post Office or at a

Co-operative Bank branch. Cash can be paid in at a Co-op branch or the

Post Office for free and by using your ATM cash card.

You can withdraw funds online or by phone by using either electronic transfers to

your other building society or bank accounts or by cash using the card provided.

As long as you have sufficient funds available, you can withdraw up to £250 per

day using this card at a Link ATM machine or any Post Office and, if you need

more, at a Co-op branch. You can also withdraw funds by cheque at any branch

or by phone. A charge is applicable for this type of withdrawal.

Smile also offer an ISA and a fixed term deposit account.

Smile is part of the Co-operative Bank. As well as savings, it also provides

current accounts, credit cards, mortgages, loans and car and home insurance.
