is a personal multicurrency bank account
from one of the leading
Latvian
banks,
Rietumu Banka. The account can be held
in any currency.
It
is not necessary to visit the bank in
Riga to open the account but is
recommended
and will make the whole procedure more
straightforward.
There
is a one-off €150
opening fee for the account. The bank
also offers
corporate
accounts which also have an opening
one-time fee of €150.
If
you open the account remotely by not
visiting the bank then there is
an
additional €100
opening fee on top of the €150.
There
are no annual or monthly account charges
for personal accounts.
You
will need to present a copy of your
passport or other official national
identity
card/document.
A
range of MasterCard and Visa secured
credit cards
as well as charge cards is
also
available. In addition they offer savings
(also multicurrency),
investment
and
escrow accounts.
