These
are a comprehensive range of Internationally
accepted secured Visa &
MasterCard credit
cards for private customers from Rietumu,
one
of the leading
Latvian
banks.
To
obtain these cards you must open a private
account with the bank first.
Light,
Classic, Gold and Platinum versions
are all available plus the deluxe World
Signia
MasterCard. The Light card works in
a similar way to a debit (or prepaid)
card
in that the account is checked during
each transaction to make sure there
are
sufficient funds available.
Cards
can be issued in either Latvian
Lats (LVL), Euros or US Dollars.
Security
deposits begin at US$300 (250 Euros,
150 LVL) for the Classic cards up
to
US$1000 (750 Euros, 500 LVL) for the
Platinum cards.
Annual
fees range from US$45 (or equivalent)
for the Light cards up to US$450
(or
equivalent) for the Platinum cards.
Corporate
customers can also apply for the Visa
/ MasterCard Business card.
