Visa Cards
These
are either Classic or Gold secured Visa credit
cards issued by the Belize
based British
Caribbean International bank.
To
apply for a card you will need to apply
for and open a standard current
account
with the bank first.
Corporate secured cards are also available
for corporate current
account
holders.
The
minimum credit limit on these secured
cards is US$2500 with the security
deposit
being set at 150% of the required credit
limit.
The
cards can be used online and at any
ATM or point of sale terminal that
accepts
the Visa brand. There is also online
account access.
Even
though these cards are issued in US$
only, customers who have current
accounts
with the bank in other currencies can
still apply for them, but all
transactions
are settled in US dollars.
As
well as offering credit cards the bank
also offers a range of Visa debit cards
(linked to a $US account) and reloadable
prepaid Visa cards which can come
non-personalised
i.e. no name on the card.
