are reloadable prepaid
Cirrus / Visa Interlink (the Visa equivalent

Maestro)
debit cards from GlobalCash that are available to most
people
worldwide.
According
to claims on his website, this new set of cards
which have just
arrived are
replacing
the existing Maestro / Cirrus cards.
No name is
printed
on the card, although you must provide
ID when activating.
These
new cards can be registered and activated
online or by phone.
They currently
cost 95 Euros / US$ each.
The
monthly fee is US$4.95.
The
activation fee is US$1.20.
The
loading fee is US$1.50.
ATM transaction fee
in the US is US$1.50.
ATM transaction fee
worldwide is US$4.50.
POS transaction fee
in the US is US$0.50.
POS transaction fee
worldwide is US$1.75.
Online balance
enquiries are free.
Monthly
paper statements are US$5.00.
Card to card transfers
are US$2.00.
The
minimum balance required to cover monthly
fees etc is US$10.
Visa Electron cards in Euros issued
by a European bank are
also available worldwide.
There
are no monthly or annual fees. These
cards cost €59 (US$75) each or €89 for
two
cards.
You
can also order Visa
debit cards that are available to North
American citizens
only
and
these currently cost 125 US$ / Euros.
