Britannia

Flexible Savings

This is a basic savings instant access account from the Britannia (was Britannia

Building Society) that comes with the choice of either a passbook or CashCard.

Access is by post, via a branch or using an ATM machine.

If you choose the passbook then you are able to withdraw up to £500 in cash

per day. If you wish to withdraw more than this you will be issued with a cheque.

If you choose to have the CashCard instead then you can withdraw the lesser

amount of up to £250 per day in cash.

The account requires a minimum opening deposit of just £1. The maximum

allowed account balance is £1M. It is also available as a joint account.

Inward direct debits can be set up to fund the account.

You also have the choice of having your interest paid monthly or annually.

Other types of savings offered by Britannia include other easy access (Cash ISA,

Direct Saver, Select & Flexible), regular, ISA, bond, clubs & charity and children's.

Britannia was founded over 150 years ago. The Britannia Building Society

and The Co-operative Financial Services merged in 2009.

As well as providing a wide range of savings accounts, this organisation also

offers current accounts (as a result of it's merger with the Co-operative),

insurance, investments and mortgages.

They have over 250 branches in the UK.
