This
is a basic savings instant access account from the
Britannia (was
Britannia
Building Society) that comes with the choice
of either a passbook
or CashCard.
Access is by post, via
a branch or using an ATM machine.
If
you choose the passbook then you are
able to withdraw
up to £500 in cash
per day.
If
you wish to withdraw more than this
you will be issued with a cheque.
If
you choose to have the CashCard instead
then you can withdraw
the lesser
amount
of up to £250 per day in cash.
The account
requires a minimum opening deposit of just
£1. The maximum
allowed
account balance is £1M. It is also available
as a joint account.
Inward
direct debits can be set up to fund
the account.
You
also have the choice of having your
interest paid monthly or annually.
Other
types of savings offered by Britannia
include other easy access (Cash ISA,
Direct
Saver, Select & Flexible), regular,
ISA, bond, clubs & charity and children's.
Britannia
was founded over 150 years ago. The
Britannia Building Society
and
The Co-operative Financial Services
merged in 2009.
